I’ve stopped here only a couple of times, but each time I do it’s a better experience than I expect from a restaurant in a travel plaza. The meats here are delicious and the server was friendly. Prices were reasonable and taking the family out to eat won’t break the bank.

Alright man...this is one of those spots what I don't even think THEY know how awesome they are. I'm an OTR trucker I've been in every state in the Union except Alaska, Hawaii, and Maine. No one can hold a candle to this truck stop and certainly not Skols. BBQ? Bomb Breakfast? Bring another pair of sucks bc those joints are getting knocked OFF Full Bar too?? Brooooooo I always count myself VERY lucky when I get to roll through Albert Lea and am planning a future Road Trip to Minneapolis out of OH JUST so I can have an excuse to share Skols with my girlfriend and kiddos. The travel center is BOMB and then they have absolute HEAT in the Tavern. So good...like UNFAIRLY good ..makes no sense. It's like a real life tavern for weary travelers and adventures that you would see in a D&D campaign. Ugh...if ya couldn't tell I LOVE this place

This restaurant is the most delicious restaurant I have eaten during my recent trip to two nearby states. Bourbon Smothered Chicken is highly recommended. The baked bacon inside is the best baked bacon I have ever eaten. The side dishes are also delicious. Chicken Philly omettes are also very good! The waiter was very kind. She recommended delicious dishes to us and gave us two cups of orange juice. Will Come again next time if I have a chance.

Love this cozy little restaurant. Truckers can smell the wood burning from the fuel island and it was just as good as it smelled. I had the cowboy smash burger it was awesome like totally awesome. I have a picture of it. For me it was a choice of either that or the plate with the brisket on it both sounded excellent. I also added pictures of their current menu too. Normally I don't eat in the truck stop restaurants but I made an exception for this one and I'm glad I did.

Great Food. Had the Ribeye with caramelized onions. Was cooked perfectly. Looking forward to try the wood fired ribs. Great atmosphere with the stone fireplaces. And a bar to boot. They also have a buffet. Great choice for Truckers. Lots of parking.

Definitely a must stop place! Not only do you have a bar restaurant, you have a cafeteria style restaurant and Ragnar’s. Order your food cuts a la cart. Huge Semi truck and auto stop. Plus huge gift shop style store with Sabbarro pizza , McDonald’s and Taco Bell! This place is huge and like I said! A must see! I’ll be here every day this week for sure! Outside patio with smoking! So when you’re in the area of Interstate 35 and Interstate 90 Albert Lea area,Stop at the Trail’s Travel Center! They also have a Comfort Inn if you need to stay overnight!

I stopped at this rest stop 6 months ago late at night and noticed this amazing-looking restaurant inside. Decided today to make a trip just to try the Skol Bourbon Burger, and it did not disappoint. Now I'm going to have to come back to try a few more things. Great place to stop if you're nearby.
